1. Who we are
This website is run by Harbour Gate Partners (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data you give us through this website. Company number and registered address TBD

2. What we collect
Information you give us when you fill in a form (book a call, get the guide, partner enquiry or contact form), or message us on WhatsApp, WeChat, phone or email:
- your name, email address and mobile / WhatsApp number;
- your WeChat ID (if you choose to give it) and your preferred contact method;
- your country or region of residence and preferred language;
- your approximate budget band and buying timeframe;
- for partners: your firm name and type of business;
- anything you write in a message;
- your consent choices (that you agreed to be contacted, and whether you opted in to marketing), with the date and time.
Information collected automatically and attached to your enquiry only if you submit a form:
- campaign tags in the link you used (UTM source, medium, campaign, content and term);
- the page you first landed on, the page you submitted from, and the website that referred you (if any);
- the language you were reading the site in.
We do not ask for, and please do not send us, passport details, bank details or other sensitive information through this website.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics and/or Meta (Facebook) may collect information about how you use the site. See our Cookie policy.
3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@harbourgatepartners.com or replying “stop” to any message. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data.
- Our sales partner. If you agree to an introduction, we share your contact details, preferences and enquiry notes with the API Global sales team. They will use your data under their own privacy policy, and we will tell you before we do this. Partner details to confirm
- Service providers who help us run the business and process data on our instructions — for example website hosting, email, our customer records spreadsheet/CRM and messaging apps. List of providers TBD
- Analytics providers (Google, Meta) — only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.
If you contact us on WhatsApp or WeChat, those services also process your messages under their own terms.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. If you live outside the UK — for example in mainland China, Hong Kong or Singapore — your data will be transferred to and handled in the UK when you contact us. To review with legal adviser
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless an introduction leads to a purchase — in which case we keep the records we need to track and receive commission, and for tax and accounting purposes (usually 6 years). Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Retention periods are placeholders — confirm
7. Keeping it safe
Enquiries are stored on a private server and in access-controlled accounts used only by our team. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it and only keep what we need.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to our use based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- data portability — receive data you gave us in a usable format;
- withdraw consent at any time.

9. Complaints
