Investors in China, Hong Kong & Singapore
Exploring UK property as part of overseas diversification, and wanting a clear, honest first conversation in Chinese.
UK property · in English & 中文
A calm, no-pressure starting point for Chinese and Asian investors. We answer your questions in plain language, then — only if it suits you — introduce you to a professional UK property sales team.
Introductions only — we are not financial advisers and are not FCA-authorised. We never promise returns.
The problem
Most people we speak to have the same three worries before they start.
Buy-to-let, off-plan, leasehold, stamp duty… Portals assume you already know how it all works.
Seminars and cold calls push a specific flat before you even understand the basics.
It is hard to ask honest questions in a second language, eight hours away from the UK.
How it works
The same four steps for everyone. Want to read up first? Our free beginner’s guide explains the basics in English and 中文.
A short form or a WhatsApp / WeChat message: what you’re looking for, a rough budget and timing.
A relaxed call in English or 普通话. We explain the basics, answer your questions and say honestly if it isn’t a fit.
Only with your permission, we introduce you to a professional UK sales specialist who can talk through real options.
No obligation. Any contract is between you and the developer — never with us — and we never take your money.
Who we help
Three groups we speak to most — each with different questions, all with the same need: a clear, honest starting point.
Exploring UK property as part of overseas diversification, and wanting a clear, honest first conversation in Chinese.
You have savings and know the UK, but buying an investment property is new — and you’d like it explained simply.
You have never bought abroad and want to understand the process, costs and risks before speaking to anyone selling.
Basics first. Then a proper introduction.
No portals, no seminars, no pressure — a calm conversation in English or 普通话.
Straight talk
Being clear about our role is how we earn your trust.
How the handoff works
What to expect
We’re a new service, so we won’t show testimonials until real clients give permission to share their words. Instead, here is what we commit to.
Basics first. We explain costs, risks and the buying process before anyone talks about a specific property.
Straight about our role. We’re introducers, not advisers — and we tell you up front how we are paid.
Your pace, your channel. WhatsApp, WeChat, phone or email, in English or 普通话 — and no chasing if you say no.
Client feedback will be added here only with written permission.

No. We provide marketing and introductions only. We can explain how UK property buying generally works, but we never give financial, investment, tax, legal or mortgage advice, and nothing we say is a personal recommendation. If you need advice, please speak to a suitably qualified, regulated professional.
No. Harbour Gate Partners is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We don’t need to be for what we do — explaining the basics and making introductions — and we will never claim or imply otherwise. Buying property to rent out is generally not an FCA-regulated investment, which also means you would not normally have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the FSCS for the purchase itself.
Generally, yes — people living outside the UK can usually buy property in England and Wales, and many do. The process, taxes (for example, an extra stamp duty surcharge for non-residents) and lending options differ from those for UK residents, and rules change. A solicitor and a qualified tax adviser should confirm what applies to you. This is general information, not advice.
We may earn a commission from our partner if a purchase you were introduced to goes ahead. We do not charge you a fee for an introduction call. Because we are paid only if a sale proceeds, we tell you this up front — so you can judge everything we say with that in mind. Wording to confirm — Sean
We’ll contact you by your chosen method — WhatsApp, WeChat, phone or email — usually within one business day (UK). We’ll ask a few simple questions and answer yours. If it makes sense, we’ll introduce you to a professional sales specialist. If not, we’ll say so. You can stop at any time.
